A growing share of well-loved apps now charge recurring, often weekly, fees for features that used to be a single purchase, or cost the developer almost nothing to keep running. The result is a quiet tax on apps people already like, billed monthly whether they remember it or not.

Digital Doctor builds natively for iOS, one focused app at a time. Where a feature genuinely costs us to run, we charge a fair, transparent price for it. Where it doesn't, we don't put a subscription wall in front of it just because the market will bear one.
